MLS Property Data and a New MLS Revenue Model.

There is, in the not too distant future, a new economic model for MLS.
 An economic model where agents and brokers will be PAID to put listings in an MLS, instead of PAYING to put listings in an MLS.
Real estate brokers command the top of the digital food chain but vendors, lenders and “portal” platforms extract much of the value brokers create to create wealth for themselves.
Currently, brokers and agents trade their long term future (the future value of data on properties, including its transaction status) for the short term benefit of free advertising.
The perishable opportunity for brokers is to leverage their market position to capture the downstream value of the data it continues to collect.
It is time to consider “Taking Back Your Future,” before it is too late.
